2005 Rio Compact Sedan 05/01/2005 - Kia Motors today released the first images of the newly redesigned Rio compact sedan that is scheduled to be unveiled at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, USA.
Completely redesigned from the ground up, the all-new Rio will feature a longer wheelbase, a wider track and more horsepower than its predecessor, providing better handling, a smoother ride and improved levels of performance. “We redesigned the Rio to meet the rising expectations of our customers who expect more from Kia. With improved quality and a fresher design we have created a superb vehicle that is more stylish and enjoyable to drive than its predecessor,” said Yong-Hwan Kim, Senior Executive Vice President and COO of Kia Motors. The five door hatch version of the new Rio will be launched at the Geneva Motor Show in March, with both versions of the new Rio arriving in Australia in time for October’s Sydney International Motor Show.
